Catherine Ford is a British actress born in Bloomsbury. After her father left her family members, she was grew up by her mother, godparents and grandmother. When she was a little girl, she was diagnosed with an obsessive compulsive disorder. She also experienced anxiety because of the word"association. Ford began to be interested in acting when she was a teenager and joined the National Youth Theatre. Ford was accepted into the Sylvia Young Theatre School, but after just a few days, decided that she wasn't a good for the school. Ford rather than applying to Central School of Speech and Drama and winning a placement after her third try made an application and secured a place at Central School of Speech and Drama. Shaun Dingwall - who later was the character Pete Tyler in Doctor Who was also one of Ford's classmates. Ford graduated in 1993 but in the meantime, she had already made her television debut in the 1991 season in the show Surgical Spirit; she adopted the professional name "Catherine Tate". Tate first appeared on television in 1991and appeared on television shows like The Bill. Men Behaving Badly. and London's Burning. In addition to her regular stage work, Tate was a part of the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2000-2001. Tate gained not long after her recognition for her stand-up comedy, which were added to Tate's repertoire in 1996.
